Da Brat was sentenced to gaol today (August 22) and will now spend the next three years behind bars.
The doorknocker was captive over an incident that occurred in October 2007, where she hit a waitress in the face with a bottle of rum at Studio 72 - an Atlanta-based club.
After the blow, the waitress was left with intumescence to her forehead and a deep laceration to her cheek.
Brat must as well serve sevener years probation and 200 hours of community help on top of the jail time, says The Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Reports say as Brat was taken out of the court, she could be heard expression "I love y'all" to members of her fellowship, who were crying.
